The kitchen line, or non-volley zone, is where most pickleball points are won and lost. Mastering this area of the court can dramatically improve your game.

    1. Patience is Key

Don't rush to put the ball away. Wait for a ball that's truly attackable – one that bounces high enough to hit downward.

    2. Soft Hands Win Games

Practice your dinking technique. A well-placed dink is more valuable than a powerful shot that goes into the net.

    3. Move as a Team

In doubles, you and your partner should move laterally together, maintaining about 6-8 feet between you.

    4. Watch Your Opponent's Paddle

The paddle face tells you where the ball is going. Keep your eyes on it to anticipate shots.

    5. Stay Low

Bend your knees and stay in an athletic stance. This gives you better reaction time and more control.
